This will incrementally track and display your downloads. If you wish to prevent users seeing this, just delete the additions in the 2 template files. I plan to add an admin reporting list sometime...

** CAUTION: If you have modified any of the files in your existing /mods/documents/ folder, use a file comparer (eg WinMerge) to add these changes - uploading will erase any existing modifications! **
NEW INSTALL
-----------
If you are installing to a site and you do not yet have any documents, or you have not installed the documents module yet:
1) Unpack & upload the files as they are to /mod/documents/, overwriting the existing files.
2) Install Documents module using boost. That's it!
UPGRADE
-------
** You must be logged in as a deity user to upgrade the database **
1) Unpack & upload the files as they are to /mod/documents/, overwriting the existing files.
2) In "Control Panel" ->
"Site Content", select Documents.
Once the page loads listing your existing documents, add the following to the end of the current page address in your browser's address bar and click on the browser "Go" button (or press "enter" key):
&dl_counter=install
You will receive confirmation of the upgrade. That's it! All existing files will now have a download counter column. |
